Biography:

Tuf's parents are Shari Cooper and Roy "Super Looper" Cooper, a member of the ProRodeo Hall of Fame and an eight-time world champion, while his brothers Clint (who is a four-time NFR qualifier) and Clif are both PRCA competitors in tie-down roping. In 2010, Tuf, Clif and Clint became the first set of three brothers to qualify for NFR in tie-down roping in the same year. The trio repeated this feat in 2011. His sister, Shada, is married to 11-time World Champion All-Around Cowboy Trevor Brazile. Tuf Cooper's grandfather, Clifton Smith, was an NFR tie-down roper in 1960 and 1962 and his uncle, Stran Smith, is a 10-time NFR qualifier and the 2008 world champion. You can say rodeo runs in the family. He won his first all-around title at the young age 6 at the Earth High Plains Junior Rodeo Association event in 1996. Tuf achieved a personal best with a 6.6-second run at the 2009 Snake River Stampede in Nampa, Idaho. Tuf Cooper became the youngest cowboy to surpass $1 million in career earnings on Feb. 22, 2013, just three weeks past his 23rd birthday.
